A free ambulance service for the remote mountain villages of Azad Kashmir — for mothers in labour, accident victims and the critically ill. No one should die for lack of a vehicle.
— Quran 5:32
In the remote mountain communities of Azad Kashmir, the nearest hospital can be many kilometres of rough, winding road away. For a person suffering a medical emergency — a heart attack, a difficult childbirth, a serious injury — the absence of emergency transport is a death sentence. Many people have lost their lives simply because there was no vehicle to take them to medical care in time.
Tayyib Foundation operates an ambulance service that provides life-saving emergency transport to these isolated communities. This service is free of charge to those who need it — because no one should die for lack of a vehicle.
The preservation of life (Hifz al-Nafs) is one of the five essential objectives of Islamic law. To participate in saving a life is one of the highest acts a Muslim can perform. When you donate to our Ambulance Service, you may literally be the reason someone’s mother, child, or neighbour survives the night.
