“Indeed, We have honoured the children of Adam.”

— Quran 17:70

Why this matters

Disabled Mobility

Disability in a remote, mountainous community without proper infrastructure can mean complete isolation. Those who cannot walk unassisted are cut off from school, work, medical care, social life, and worship. The 2005 earthquake left many people with permanent disabilities, and others were born with conditions that limit their mobility. For these individuals, a wheelchair or mobility aid is not a luxury — it is the key to participation in life itself.

Tayyib Foundation’s Disabled Mobility Project provides wheelchairs, walking aids, and mobility equipment to those in need, entirely free of charge. We identify beneficiaries through our community networks and ensure that the right aid reaches the right person.

What we do

On the ground

Our Disabled Mobility Project provides wheelchairs, walking aids and mobility equipment to those in need — entirely free of charge.

Islam has always affirmed the full dignity and worth of every human being. The Prophet ﷺ showed extraordinary tenderness toward those with physical limitations, and the Quran repeatedly emphasises that honour comes from taqwa (God-consciousness), not from physical ability. To restore someone’s mobility is to restore their participation in the full spectrum of human experience — including their ability to attend the masjid, seek education, and live independently.

A wheelchair costs as little as £80 and can transform someone’s entire life.
